My life in an essay
Lindsay is a very small community and no one knows about it; that's one of the many obstacles that Lindsay has brought upon me and that I had to overcome in order to succeed. Another major obstacle I had to leave behind me was that it seems that here in Lindsay a lot of people seem to be afraid to go out and be someone better and achieve a greater education than what their parents did. This affected me because it made me feel like I had no chance to succeed and mentally did affect me because it put me down.
My family originally from Mexico and is composed of my two sisters Adilene, Jacqueline, and I and of course the tip of the iceberg and the head of the family are my mom silvia and my dad sirilo. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better family to live with, they’re caring and full of love my parents always encourage me to do my best in school and insist that I attend college. However, it is very tough for me to afford college because economically we can't afford it like many other families but it's a personal goal I also have for myself. I'm conscious that I will have to work and attend college at the same time and i'm aware it's going to be tough but I know it's possible to accomplish its nothing out of this world.
Over the past couple years, while i’ve been attending high school, i’ve noticed that the people here in the community of lindsay are so closed minded. I feel like the people here are afraid to move out to different places and experience life somewhere else because they're used to the small town and seeing the same faces all the time. Personally, I know I don't want to live here the rest of my life, I might come back after college because it's an awesome community don't get that wrong I just feel like I need a break from this town and i'm sure wherever I end up I will enjoy it.
In all honesty, I can proudly say i'm a Lindsay cardinal because with no doubt the best part of lindsay is definitely the high school. Having attended lindsay high I don't have much to complain about because all the teachers and staff there are awesome they're all so caring and really show you they are there to not only help you graduate but also to help you get into college. The school also counts with fantastic students who really care about their education and that also help the person next to them in many ways not only by helping in how to do a lesson but by creating a great learning atmosphere in class.
Moreover, The world where I come from has shaped my dreams and aspirations in many ways for example I’ve realized that my dad was able to work for long hours and years in the fields and carry his family over many obstacles then anythings possible. I’ve also seen both of my parents working hard in giving me anything I need for school or soccer so I see it as a necessity to give some of that back to them when I get older and in order to accomplish that I am aware I will need to work my butt off not only in school but in my actual job.
To conclude, The rest of my senior year and the years that follow will be crucial in what type of person I become. I expect to become the greatest person I can be and exploit the qualities I have in me in whichever collage I decide to attend and looking even more ahead in whichever profession I choose to undertake.
