the transaction
The transaction from a sophomore to a junior has been incredible. So far my junior year has been pretty tough. Junior year has been much harder than the other two but with hard work I've been able to get through a lot. This year has been difficult because school work has almost doubled and, by working hard I've been able to make the school’s varsity soccer team, the practices are long and hard so this makes homework almost impossible to finish in time. Thus far I have managed to keep a good pacing score being on pace 6 out of my 7 classes but I don’t know how long I can keep it up. This year’s team looks good and the future looks bright for us, so we got to make the best of it. Despite the struggle I plan on pushing myself to some level 4's because I plan on getting into a university. Most of my friends and I are focusing on just making grades for soccer for now but after soccer season I will focus on level 4's and set my goals higher than usual. This year I also have important things to do for my senior project like my job shadow and journals along with some other stuff. Math has been my nightmare all my life and this year is no exception I've been stuck on the same thing for the last couple of weeks. I’m also stuck on algebra as a junior I will have to push myself into geometry and keep working hard.
As this year progresses I've seen what classes I like and which I don’t, and whether or not my class selections were good. For period 1 I got algebra this class was chosen for me because I still need to get through it. So far I’m doing OK in there but I feel like I have no work ethic when I step in there. Then I have fitness training for 2nd period, my work ethic there is good and I’m easily on pace. Then comes Spanish 2 I’m doing my second and final year on that subject and I’m also easily on pace there. For 4th period I have English 11, mr.guss is a very demanding teacher and expects a lot from one, which is good but sometimes it’s tough to get everything done. 5th period is my art class; I chose this class to fulfill my 1 year of a fine art. In art I’m doing OK and I believe I’m on pace. However for 6th period I had to settle for a TA class for weight training, it’s not what I would've wanted to waste a class like that but that’s all there was available. At least, I’m passing the class and get work done from others during free time in there. Lastly, for 7th I end with history that class is also very challenging and I’m fighting to not fall behind pace on it.
To finish off, as the end of the 1st semester arrives I felt this year to be very difficult but interesting, I will keep working hard in all my classes and set my standards high and not stop till I reach them.
